As a Clinical Research Supervisor in the Ophthalmology Clinical Research Office (OCRO), you will serve as an essential member of the clinical research team in the Department of Ophthalmology under the supervision of OCRO Medical Staff Leadership, Clinical Research Manager and the Assistant Director of Ophthalmology Clinical Research Operations. The Clinical Research Supervisor has the primary responsibility of hiring, training and supervising a team of Clinical Research Coordinators within the OCRO office. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all studies under his/her direction follow regulatory and institutional guidelines and are properly and appropriately executed.
The Ophthalmology Clinical Research Office (OCRO) at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is located immediately adjacent to the Charles/MGH T stop. OCRO includes both the study-execution staff and those responsible for financial management. College degree required. Science or healthcare background preferred. Experience supervising or training personnel strongly preferred. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines and experience in a clinical research setting required. Basic typing and computer skills including document preparation and excel spreadsheet capabilities, medical terminology required. Good communication skills and attention to detail necessary.
