Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.

Performs all CT procedures, Able to learn and/or perform MRI Exams

Observant of patients’ conditions.

Practices and enforces radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.

Adheres to all appropriate hospital and regulatory policies and assists in maintaining accreditation. Understands and operates electronic information systems.

Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.

Administers contrast media as required.

Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of CT and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.

Takes call after regular hours as assigned.

Maintains appropriate supplies.

Assures primary area is clean and organized. Assists in other areas of the department when not needed in primary area. Performs clerical and transport duties as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Position is required to have competence to assess, treat and/or care for the age groups indicated by check marks.

EXPERIENCE* Required - Experience in Radiologic Technology/CT Technology. Preferred - Two years dedicated CT experience and One year MRI experience.

EDUCATION* Required - Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Preferred - As above, with successful completion of formal computer courses.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION* Required - ARRT registered. CT Registry within Six months BLS within 90 days of employment. Preferred - ARRT CT/MRI Registered
