.Net Developer
Location: Bethesda, MD, Washington, DC (Metro Center)

Our client has a requirement for an experienced.Net Developerto provide senior development and QA processes with our integration process. This position will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining complex applications. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to own all design & development aspects of a full implementation, and be able to take the product from concept to implementation.
The individual will be responsible for the following high level tasks: analysis of requirements to drive further clarification; propose, define and document sound design options & alternatives; develop application code and unit tests; integrate with other applications as necessary; deliver integrated application components to Testing and Quality Assurance team.
Individual must be a self-starter with the ability to handle a number of simultaneous projects, demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive projects to completion, and be successful in a collaborative environment.
The candidate must be must be organized, detail oriented and be able to prioritize tasks. He/She will help ensure that application code is of high quality by taking part in code reviews and writing automated tests, assist in the deployment of code onto the pre-production & production environments.The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of software development life cycle from requirements gathering and analysis, design, developing and debugging code.

Must Have Skills: At leastseven years of disciplined application design and development experience with .Netin the Internet or software industry with increasing responsibility and success. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to define and deliver high visibility projects in a timely manner. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively (written & verbal) are also critical success factors in this role.Must be a US Citizen.

Nice to Have Skills: Professional certifications and continuing education history must suggest knowledge and familiarity with development techniques, experience with integration with external systems, a firm understanding of emerging internet technology and experience withCMMI, and development methodologies. Experience with architecting and designingBusiness Process Management /Workflow solutionsis a plus.

Relevant job functions & requirements include:
�Develop detailedwork breakdown structure (WBS)for analysis design, development & deployment activities. Maintain issue list and report project status
�Designing, coding, testing, defect management, and production support (in collaboration with Operations team)
�Demonstrated experience with deliveringweb-based applicationsand dealing with the challenges of compatibility, scalability, and performance
�Knowledge ofXML/SOAPand Web services
�Expertise in designing & developing BPM/Workflow solutions
�End-to-end understanding of development processes, organization, and techniques in order to drive the creation of optimal solutions
�Working knowledge ofdefect tracking and configurations management systemsable to perform and lead root-cause analysis
�Knowledge ofimaging systemsand process is required
�Familiarity withOracleand/orSQL Server� Database programming
�Familiarity with search engines is desirable

Experience:
�BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or other technical field.
�At least five to seven years experience in software engineering � including analysis, design & development of complex applications using,.Net,SharePoint, J2EE technologies & application servers.
�Highly desired to have experience with one or more BPM tools (Process 360, Filenet, Metastorm, Open Text, HandySoft, K2, Pegasystems, Documentum)
�Experience with designing & developing web-based applications for moderate to high traffic sites.
�Hands-on experience with scripting languages & build management tools
