Your challenge

The Philips Healthcare Academy is leading the industry in the effective, innovative and just-in-time training needs of our Field Service Engineers, Distributors and Contract Customers as well as Clinical Application Specialists. The Professor Holst training center is one of three Academy locations located throughout the world with the other two facilities located in Cleveland and Singapore.

Student training needs are provided through computer-based-training, on-line course access, webinars and instructor-led training delivery methods. The instructor-led curriculum includes hands-on equipment instruction and as little as possible classroom presented material.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep up-to-date with new developments on IGT imaging technologies and applications, on an overall system level or more specific sub-systems as an expert.

  • Enlarge and maintain adequate level of practical field experience

  • Gaining experience and competencies with new learning strategies and generic didactical approaches.

  • Focus on training development and delivery of business critical functional behaviors of the specific target audiences, e.g.;

  • Tier 1 field service engineers

  • Tier 2 field service engineers

  • Tier 3 support engineers

  • Mechanical installers/ Lead installers

  • Dealer / distributor engineers

  • Continuous changing learning environment

  • Flexible and pragmatic in relation to dynamic environment

  • Multicultural audiences

Your team

The Academy is responsible for the Service Training of Diagnostic X-ray, Interventional X-ray, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, Nuclear Imaging, Positron Emission Tomography, Patient Monitoring, Healthcare Informatics and Magnetic Resonance Imaging products.

Other requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in ICT, electronics or equivalent experience

  • Refined technical writing skills

  • High level of refined presentation & coaching skills

  • Good communication capability in English, both verbally and written

  • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

  • Networking, Interoperability and DICOM knowledge

  • Willingness to explore use of alternative delivery methods (i.e., other than classroom delivery) where applicable and effective

  • Strong affinity with mechatronics and image processing

  • Willingness to provide training on locations on other continents

  • Project management experience (-)
