Your Challenge

As Supply Chain & Life Cycle Engineer you are responsible for report, control, analysis & improvement of the service parts management processes. From an integral service parts management & supply chain perspective you have a transparent view on supply & demand throughout the life cycle of service parts, understanding the implications on supply chain, customers (uptime of install base) and engineering changes. You identify risks and you escalate deviations to your next level manager. You like to manage the details when needed and have a strong drive for continuous improvement. Your focus is in life cycle segment stock & system settings review & control. You structurally monitor and identify improvement areas from customer and business point of view.

Your Responsibilities

You’ll team up with your colleagues in IGT CS, Service Parts Supply Chain (analytics team & supply planning), development (Product Quality & Maintenance and R&D) and IGT Operations, being responsible for:

  • Define & control periodical review for the life cycle segments for service parts. Assess proposed changes defining impact customers, compliance and costs over life cycle in relation to End Of Life on system level. Manage decision making process & execution of decisions in timely and efficient manner involving all stakeholders.

  • Manage & control key changes that impact service parts availability and/or P&L i.e. master data changes, scrap, hold and harvesting.

  • In joint cooperation with Service Parts Supply Chain (SPS) manage the Excess & Obsolete (E&O) outlook for service parts, actively control and optimize E&O by mitigating risks and continuous improvement on root causes for E&O.

  • Create proposals for efficiency and effectiveness of the Service Parts Lifecycle to manage the service performance, customer satisfaction and costs. Deploying new or changed service parts processes/tools/behavior in the organization End to End.

  • Smooth interaction with CS, SPS, R&D, Service Engineers, IGT Operations and Key Market to ensure all operational activities are executed in a pro-active way to meet customer requirements & targets.

Within Philips Healthcare in Best, the Business Unit Interventional X-ray is responsible for marketing, development and manufacturing of X-ray systems in the area of cardiac or vascular medical diagnosis and intervention. Customers are interventional specialists, in the cardiology and radiology domain operating in a wide variety of hospitals across the globe.

Customer Services is responsible for total IXR customer satisfaction and covers maintenance services, tailored solutions and value added services.

The Supply Chain & Life Cycle Engineer is a vacancy in the install base (IB) Sustainment department of the IGT Customer Service organization. You report to the Senior IB Sustainment Manager. As Supply Chain & Life Cycle Engineer you team up with your direct colleagues who manage IB information, FCOs, service parts obsolescence and business analysis & reporting. Your priorities and activities are derived from the shared objective to effectively & efficiently sustain the Global IGT Systems Installed Base while securing compliance with business & regulatory standards being the value-added service partner for our customers globally.

We are looking for

  • A Bachelor or Master degree with proven experience in Supply chain and/or purchasing

  • At least 3 years work experience in sourcing/supply chain

  • A good understanding of variables impacting Supply Chain performance

  • An experienced user of SAP ERP Systems and data base applications

  • Excellent quantitative and supply chain analysis skills, with a drive to understand the details

  • Able to smoothly interact with people outside your own organization or discipline while you focus on results and with a pro-active attitude

  • Enjoy to manage internal and external contacts

  • Take the lead in defining and improving processes & standard work in your area of responsibility, using your skills and experience in change management.
