St. Mary's Good Samaritan Registered Nurse - Endoscopy in Baraboo, Wisconsin


The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional who provides leadership and direction to the patient care team. The RN performs age-specific physical, psychological, and social assessments, formulates nursing diagnoses, and develops a plan of care, which includes individualized treatment strategies for the perioperative setting.


EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin. Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications.

EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years on medical, surgical or similar unit or previous experience


Department Specific:

The RN manages, organizes, and provides direct patient care, incorporating clinical decision-making and prioritization of activities. The RN provides education for the patient, family members, and other health care team members, including expected perioperative or procedural experiences, expected post-operative course, and discharge instructions. This RN will manage the care of patients receiving IV conscious sedation during endoscopy procedures. The Endoscopy RN cross-trains to Day Surgery and functions under the Day Surgery position description when staffing in Day Surgery.
