TurnKey Vacation Rentals Accounting Assistant in Austin, Texas


TurnKey Vacation Rentals is an Austin-based, technology-enabled vacation rental management company started by former HomeAway, Expedia, and Hotwire executives. We manage over 1,500 properties in more than 30 markets, including Austin, Port Aransas, Nashville, Palm Springs, San Diego, Santa Barbara, South Lake Tahoe and Park City.

We are looking for a candidate with an accounting background to join our tax & compliance department.

Specific tasks:

• Work with our Tax & License Compliance Team to ensure proper license & tax compliance tracking for our homeowners • Manage, respond to and resolve local/state sales & occupancy tax inquiries • Assist with filing of monthly and quarterly occupancy tax reporting process • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous responsibilities concurrently • Assist with completion of compliance documents needed as the Company enters new markets • Communicate via phone with applicable taxing jurisdictions when necessary


• 2-3 years of relevant work experience • Strong with Microsoft Excel • Analytically minded with strong problem solving and creative thinking skills • Strong communication & organizational skills • SalesForce.com experience is a plus • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task. • Must be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment • Must be technically competent, assertive, and results-oriented
