In the exciting world of Healthcare our business of High Tech and differentiating components plays a crucial role. GTC (Generators, Tubes and Components) is the key supplier for these components to our Philips internal customers (IGT, CT, ADI and DXR) but also an international player in the OEM and Replacement markets where it grows fast. In this market it operates with its own brands (Dunlee and Smit Röntgen) and dedicated sales channels for the respective businesses.

Will you be our new Marketing Communications Specialist for North America? You will need experience with a broad communications background (Events, Digital, Traditional media). It will be an exciting journey trying to leverage and strengthen one of the older brands in the market and help re-gain growth in a not so transparent but very competitive market. So plenty of opportunity for creativity!

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for the analysis, creation and management of our North American campaigns in order to help our sales teams drive for growth. The MarCom Specialist works in the Dunlee North American Marketing team, and is a team member of our Global Marketing Team.

Job Description Summary

The MarCom Specialist works on the planning, implementation, and development of new marketing ideas for assigned business.

  • Supports communications projects in the areas of advertising and promotional programs, public relations and trade shows, including Internet-based communications.

  • Participates in the development of plans for product promotion in support of marketing objectives.

  • Prepares materials for internal and external presentations on products, business plans, and management communications.

  • Translates the marketing objectives into a yearly marcom plan, specifying required deliverables and projects, according to the guidelines.

  • Maintains and uses the network of public relations (professional press, sponsoring) to create extra possibilities to communicate with the customers.

  • Coordinates, realizes and/or supports the presentation of the products on exhibitions, organizes events and press conferences and controls the hired stand builders.

  • Supports selection of the required agents and suppliers, negotiates prices and is responsible for an optimal briefing and instruction.

  • Defines the Philips MarCom strategy and guidelines, within the Strategy of Dunlee/Smit Roentgen global guidelines.

  • Formulates and guards the brand image, in close corporation with Dunlee Global Marketing Team.

  • Defines the yearly MarCom budget, gets it approved and takes care that the budget is used in the most optimal way to realize the deliverables or project (cost control).

  • Responsible for the planning and realization of the MarCom activities and deliverables, taking care of consistency, the brand image, the required quality and within budget.

  • Formulates and coordinates the internal communication policy for optimally informing the employees.

  • Selects the required agents and suppliers, and negotiates prices.


  • 6-10 years of experience with a proven track record in building brands, managing multiple channel campaigns, creative, strategic, high energy, and a passion for solving challenges.

  • Experience in working in global/multi country teams is preferred.

  • Experience in B2B/Health Tech is a plus.
