The Site Services Technician I / Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of the facility and grounds in our Mega Data Center in Atlanta, GA. This role will work Monday - Friday approximately 6:30 AM - 3PM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.
Assists with the repair, and maintenance of all walls, doors, flooring, roofing, exteriors, signage, fencing, barricades, plumbing/piping, lighting and lighting equipment, located in the interior and exterior of building.
Assists with monitoring operations, conducting routine and on-going assessment of the building systems operations and performance.
Assists with performing tests, rounds and analyzing data to ensure the proper functioning of departmental equipment.
Responds to all weather related circumstances, which may require snow or debris removal.
Records readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Analyzes the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
May be required to assist with the installation and repair plumbing install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and assist other mechanics and operators with repairs and maintenance of building and equipment and client installations.
Responsible for reporting any problems/malfunctions that may be seen heard or noted during building tours.
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintains a clean and safe workplace using general maintenance hand tools of all types including vacuums, floor scrubbing and polishing equipment, snow removal equipment, leaf blowers, shrub and hedge trimmers, painting tools of all types, and carpentry tools
GED, High School Diploma, Trade School, Military or equivalency
Two or more years of experience in the janitorial and/or facilities maintenance field including light maintenance
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in a critical operations building and/or data center environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to lift and carry 50-75 pounds and work from ladders and scaffolding
Ability to walk, stand, and sit for at least 8 hours.
Demonstrated reliable attendance and performance
The ability to pass job-related skills assessments based on pre-determined scoring criteria and time frames
The ability to acquire and apply job-related knowledge within set guidelines and expectations
Position may involve frequent typing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and lifting.Lifting requirements may range from less than 10 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis with heavier weights done in conjunction with other team members of lifting aids.
