Regional Fleet Supervisor

Work Location: Carolinas, Georgia, Florida and Surrounding Area
*JOB SUMMARY: *The Regional Feet Supervisor is responsible for having extensive knowledge of the vehicle and equipment service industry and is familiar with the operating rules and regulations of a commercial fleet. The Regional Fleet Supervisor will work with other department employees and management to aid in optimizing equipment utilization, minimize idle equipment and assemble reports on recommended disposal of assets.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: *None *
Manages the on-going maintenance and repair of the company assets within an assigned region or area including locating qualified third-party vendors, managing, reviewing and approving major repairs and assisting and scheduling emergency roadside repairs as needed.
Audits and reports to management on the ability and quality of both employees and vendors to complete maintenance and repairs in alignment with company standards.
Performs evaluations of equipment condition and performance related to application and lifecycle.
Evaluates service facilities both stationary and mobile to determine the quality of service being received.
Monitors, evaluates and reports retired and idle equipment to the fleet department.
Reviews and audits regional DOT required documentation including, roadside inspections, work orders, daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR’s), asset licenses and registration documentation.
Provides support to the field operations and service vendors including warranty recoveries, technical information, locating qualified vendors and dispute resolution.
Provides technical, process and administrative training to field employees and service vendors as needed.
Responsible for being the lead contact person for technical information pertaining to major equipment repairs and modifications.
Participates in producing and compiling various information or report data used in evaluations and analysis by management of on-going fleet needs or trends.
Responsible for being familiar with and advocating for adherence to company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate degree in auto mechanics or a technical degree in a related field.
Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred
TECHNOLOGY, EQUIPMENT & TOOLS:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions and generally works in an office environment. Regular ongoing travel is required of the position to visit service facilities, vendors, company equipment and employees as assigned.
