Service Area Overview: Northside Hospital offers comprehensive cardiovascular care through diagnostic, interventional, rehabilitative and support services. An established leader in cardiovascular services, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and designated UnitedHealth Premium® Cardiac Specialty Center for outstanding quality cardiac services, Northside recently expanded its award-winning program to offer the latest in vascular surgery services. Northside Vascular Surgery is one of the most skilled vascular surgery programs in the Southeast and the only program in the nation equipped to treat high-risk patients with custom-modified endografts for aortic aneurysm.

Position Description: The Echo Tech performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography in the adult and geriatric patient population. Assists the cardiologist in trans-esophageal echo and perform stress echo procedures and is responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac ultrasound in accordance with ICAEL

Position Requirements: Must be registered or registry eligible as diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through RDCS or Cardiovascular credentialing International CCI, Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferredMust have knowledge of methods, techniques, and operating principles involved in the operation of various ultrasound equipment.BCLS certification required.Intermediate Computer Skills Prior professional experience in cardiac ultrasound and Registered Vascular Technologist with 2 years vascular related experience preferred.
