Your responsibilities

In this exciting role, your responsibilities will be (ao):

  • Develop a strong relationship with (internal) customers, being a professional business partner, ensuring that proposals and plans are heard;

  • Initiate and lead procurement related projects and activities: autonomously execute negotiations, establish high quality contracts and manage supplier relationships for assigned projects and suppliers;

  • Define requirements and lead the process of identifying, qualifying, ranking and selecting appropriate suppliers including adequate involvement of (internal) customers

  • Initiate and lead the negotiation process, as the representative of Philips, with the assigned supplier ensuring total cost of ownership to support the profitability objectives for Philips;

  • Pro-actively report savings in the Philips Procurement reporting tool and in accordance to Philips Procurement guidelines;

  • Regular monitoring and analysis of supplier performance.

Your team

You will report to the team lead in Procurement IMS IT, who is located in Amsterdam. Your peers-commodity leaders will be located at various sites in as well as outside The Netherlands.

Our preferred location is Amsterdam but also Eindhoven could be discussed.

We are looking for

The candidate we are looking for meets preferably the following expectations:

  • Master degree in a relevant technical discipline;

  • Approx. 15 yrs of working experience in general

  • Approx. 5 years of relevant working experience for this role. Experience with Procurement IT is a requirement. Recognized as a professional in strategic buying and serving as a resource to others;

  • Brings technical and/or market knowledge from external sources and incorporates those ideas into procurement;

  • Able to balance the needs of multiple customers – good stakeholder management capabilities;

  • Experience at working with multiple cultures is preferred

  • Strong drive to deliver on results and agreed timelines.
