Jack Henry is seeking a SQL Database Administrator for one of its locations.
Available locations: Allen, TX, Monett, MO, Springfield, MO and Lenexa, KS

The SQL Administrator reports to the Database Administration Manager - ETS Systems.This position requires a candidate that possesses a strong technical aptitude. The position is part of a team of 4 people that works with internal databases that are under their direct supervision as well as providing assistance to other internal database administrators. This group designs, develops, and supports both product support databases and operationally focused databases. This position will participate in an on call rotation. Minimum of 18 months of database administration experience
Microsoft SQL experience
Experience with analysis, reporting or integration services
Maintains database environments; applies updates, maintenance packs, patches, & fixes for all environments.
Performs application upgrades.
Assists in the maintenance and management of database reporting infrastructure.
Works closely with developers, support and QA teams to maintain all DB environments.
Refreshes databases as needed by developers or functional teams.
Performs database administration activities including; installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, database backup and recovery and disaster recovery.
Performs database server upgrades.
Plans and performs database server installations and upgrades
Assist in maintaining and improving database operational efficiency
Support for backup and maintenance jobs
Experience in implementing and maintaining operational automation using scripts.
Works closely with developers and support teams.
Experience administrating and troubleshooting Windows servers
Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
