This position provides administrative support and assists with programs and services offered by Office of Student Affairs.
Serve as a point of contact and first level respondent to phone calls and walk-ins in a highly visible office.
Manage priorities and provide administrative support to Offices of the Vice President, Student Life, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Assistant to the Vice President, and the Fitness Center with occasional assistance to other offices under the Student Affairs' umbrella.
Recommend for hire, supervise and train all Work-Study students and Summer Staff employees in office procedures, customer service, and college policies.
Assist with the event management of Family Weekend, Fall CLASSIC and Parent Orientation. This includes coordinating the registration process, producing mailings and receiving payments.
Organize and disseminate information for registration, mailings, and evaluations for incoming students.
Create media publications and advertisements for various Student Affairs events and programs
Utilize the Banner database and the Student Conduct Software System to obtain information as needed.
Order supplies for the Student Affairs offices and Student Association, using appropriate department accounts for payment.
Enforce the Campus Poster and Usage policy
Maintain the Table Reservation Management System through the MS Outlook Calendar.
Gather and format campus event information for student events calendars.
Update website content for Student Affairs, Student Life, Student Association, Student Conduct, Fitness Center, and other areas under the Student Affairs' umbrella.
Administer student use of the campus-wide digital signage.
Administer Student Affairs Blackboard Community.
Coordinate the locker rental process.
Manage the process of issuing vending machine refunds to the campus community.
Handle confidential materials in accordance with the Family Education Right and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
Participate in various College wide Committees (i.e. Commencement Committee).
Be an active and involved member of the Student Affairs area and College Community.
High School diploma required; Associates Degree or commensurate experience preferred
At least 2 years' experience in an office clerical/administrative support position in a high volume customer service environment.
Previous experience in a related position on a college campus preferred
Previous experience in a customer services oriented position; a demonstrated customer service orientation
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Intermediate level computer skills using a windows based operating system, specifically MS Word, Excel, ACCESS, Outlook, Publisher, and various web browsers
Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in prioritizing workload, with attention to detail and meeting recurring deadlines.
Experience with BANNER or a similar database preferred
Previous supervision experience preferred
Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies
Full year, Full time, Monday -Friday work schedule.
Pay range starts at $13.45 per hour, commensurate with experience
