Reporting to Associate Director of Athletics, this position assists in the management of the official athletics booster club of The College of Saint Rose. External Relations Coordinator also participates in marketing and promotions of intercollegiate athletics events and special athletics programming.
Participate in the implementation of the donor solicitation plan for the Golden Knights Club, the official athletics booster club of The College of Saint Rose
Maintain a donor database and record donations to the booster club.
Work with coaches to assist with logistics, promotions and marketing plan for intercollegiate athletics programs, including annual alumni games/homecoming events, family/special events, community outreach events
Serve on committees related to special events and assumes specific responsibilities for the events, including the Golden Knights Awards, Golden Knights Golf Classic and the Athletics Hall of Fame
Assist with external facility rentals requests and reservations
Provide training, scheduling and oversight of student workers who will assist with game day promotions and events
Other duties as assigned by Associate Director of Athletics
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, sports management or a similar discipline is preferred
Work experience in collegiate or professional athletics is preferred
Experience with fundraising, marketing and/or events planning is preferred
Strong organizational, written/oral, interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administration, faculty, staff, and students as well as the general public
Availability to work 15 hours a week, including afternoons, evenings and some weekends
Driver's license and reliable transportation required.
THIS IS A PART-TIME, ACADEMIC YEAR POSITION. 10 months a year; 15 hours a week, specific schedule to be determined but some flexibility is needed.
The pay range starts at $14 per hour, commensurate on experience. In addition to pay, this position provides time off benefits, a tuition remission plan to further enhance your knowledge and skills, and wellness programs including the use of our fitness center.
